90210

90210 is what I lovingly refer to as drama. Some pick up on it, others not so much. Well, having an 8 year old girl in the house is proving to be more 90210 than I can handle. But here is my thought.....if I can help her gain the confidence, understand that people will be people, maybe when my 8 year old is 14 she will be able to handle the drama better and not be as involved? I might be dreaming, but it doesn't hurt to try.

It amazes me how much 90210 can be in the lives of such little people. They have their WHOLE lives to worry about silly things, why waste your childhood on it!?!? She and I had a talk the other day, and I was like, "You can't let the jerks get you down." Which lead me into singing, "Clowns to the Left of me, Jokers to the right, here I am stuck in the middle with you." Giggling ensued, and that is fine, but seriously. If I can help her learn this principle NOW, I can only assume that it will help her THEN.
