Camping!

I have never considered myself much of a camper....I used to go with my family as a little girl, but my grandparents had a camper. Well, when I met Jim, he was like, "do you camp?" I half-heartedly answered "Yeah!", all the while thinking, I much prefer a hotel/pool to a tent/lake, but what the heck.
This week, we decided to surprise the kids when they got off the bus Friday to head out to Cane Creek (in Waxhaw, NC) for a night of camping under the stars. As we drove home today, we all agreed that this was our best time thus far.....we had beautiful weather, good food, and lots of fun memories. The most important memory to note (for me) is when my sweet man said to me this morning - after he let me sleep in until 8:15 (they were all up before 7) and said, "Good Morning, coffee is ready!" He is the best!
